Light of Hope pantry is a lifeline for many people in our West Tampa community and surrounding neighborhoods who are struggling with food insufficiency, hunger, and financial hardships.

We serve families, seniors, and all types of people who come to us for food and hope.

Our food pantry is currently open once every other month, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in our church hall.

Depending on our donations we may provide food that contains nutritious and non-perishable items that are essential such as canned goods, dry goods, and donations of bread or baked goods. We also offer prayer and suggestions of resources for those who are seeking hope and comfort.

Our food pantry relies on the generous donations of our church members, individuals and outside organizations.  Without your help, we cannot continue this vital work of feeding the hungry and sharing the love of God. Your donation of any amount will make a huge difference in the lives of many people.

Frequently Asked Questions for Receiving Food Donations & to Make Donations or Contributions

  • Every other month, Saturday from 10am to 11:30am.

  • No. You must be of legal age (18 years or older), provide your name, a phone number, and the zip code where the person or family resides. No proof of residence is necessary.

  • No, it's completely free.

  • You do not need to register. It is served in order of arrival.

  • Both the food and the funds help Luz de Esperanza meet the basic nutritional needs of families.

    You can donate directly on our Donate page or through SecureGive linked at the top of the page.

  • You can bring food donations to 2606 N. MacDill Avenue, Tampa, FL 33607

  • The most necessary foods are rice, sugar, oil, cereals, cookies, juices, pasta, canned meats (chicken, tuna, beef stew), dried and canned beans, peanut butter and jelly, coffee, salt, canned vegetables and fruits, soups with meat/beans, tomato sauce, etc.

  • Please make checks payable to Light of the World Church AG.

  • Yes! Our SecureGive link allows you to make a one-time donation or schedule a recurring donation throughout the year.

  • On your mobile phone, either Apple or Android you can download this app, when you open the SecureGive app, click on Organizations, choose Light of The World Church Assembly of God and select Main Campus; this section has several options; you choose Pantry Ministry and make your donation there.

  • Anyone who makes a monetary donation will receive an acknowledgment/thank you letter with the amount of the donation.
